On 27 April, our famous, traditional yearly Auctions took place within our main sponsor, Celerant Consulting. With great effort from our core team and thanks to the endless enthusiasm of several colleagues, we managed to raise in total the incredible amount of Euro 7.980,- in total. This year the Nordic & Germany region beat the Benelux and the UK. Nordic brings in the fantastic amount of Euro 4.455,-, Benelux Euro 2.440,- and the UK a fabulous Euro 1.025,- which beats their own record by far. All in all a great start of our funding raising for this great cause. Please help us to raise even more money. Stay in touch!

In connection with the company meeting & OTD on 26-27 April, we would like to organize a live ROPARUN charity auction again, as this was a very successful and fun way to raise funds and truly make a difference for those we are doing this for – people with cancer in the final stages of their lives.Last week, the UK ROPARUN Auction was held and they raised €1.025. Well done!!
So… now we are turning to you to request a topic for this auction – any fun activity that you want to share with or provide to your colleagues: eating, drinking, hotel stays, sailing, driving, flying, biking, motor cycling, etc.. Please inform us of your auction proposals before noon on Wednesday11 April (at the latest), and provide below details:
- Activity: description of the activity, any specific requirements
- Bidding starts at: minimum price for the activity, covering any costs and… potentially already including fundraising?
- Min/max group size: how many people can be (min/max) involved in the activity
So far, we have already received 3 proposals and they are great! That’s only the beginning..!

And… we are still looking for support people and runners. If you want to join this great event, please reach out to us!

Team Celerant@Speed

This weekend a delegation of Celerant@Speed will check the Roparun route starting in Hamburg. We gather Friday in Apeldoorn to carpool from here to Hamburg. Early Saturday morning we will depart from the Roparun start site and from here we will capture the route meter by meter in our memory. Checking for safe team change over points and quiet clean sleeping spots. Our target is to explore at least 400km of the route….

‘Celerant at Speed’ – Fantastic auction results to raise money for Roparun. It is the 4^th consecutive year that consultants and alumni of the UK based consultancy Celerant Consulting are taking part in the Roparun event. Under our new name, ‘Celerant@Speed’,  team members from the UK office have organised a charity auction as highlight of their quarterly training day….and we can tell you, it was quite a success.

BUT, first things first: what do you need for an auction? Yes, you need to collect items to auction off. So our search began, and four of us started to contact local shops and businesses to tell them all about the run and ask for donations. It was not always easy, but due to great team-work, many convincing conversations/phone calls/e-mails, and obviously our compelling charm, we managed to collect 12 amazing items for our auction.

Items included things like various selections of wine and champagne, romantic dinners for 2, tickets for the famous London Eye, a round of golf, a collection of menswear items, and overnight stays in 4-star hotels in London and Chester. Due to the incredible support of our families, we were also lucky to auction off a scenic flight over Germany in a historic Piper PA12, and a fly-fishing trip in the north of Scotland. Thanks again everybody for their support, contributions and bidding.

“Add life to the days, where days can no longer be added to the life”…we hope the £807 and €120 collected on the day does make a difference to those suffering from cancer!!

Celerant@Speed will participate for the 4th time at the Roparun.

Roparun is an abbreviation of Rotterdam – Paris- RUN. When it began, in 1992, the race started on the Coolsingel in Rotterdam and finished in ‘city of lights’, Paris. The direction has been reversed in 2004 starting in Paris and finishing in Rotterdam and this year a second run will start from Hamburg to Rotterdam. Last 3 editions Celerant@Speed started in Paris and on May 26th 2012 we will start from Hamburg with 49 other teams.

Celerant@Speed has decided to rise to the challenge to raise funds for the Roparun foundation. The team consists of Celerant colleagues, alumni and friends united in the desire to support this charity.

You can participate in our fundraising campaign by either donating directly or by helping us secure equipment needed to keep a team of 24 people going for a maximum of 3 days.

Last Saturday we visited the first Roparun 2012 meeting in Rotterdam. Obviously some information was very familiar to us, but loads of new information was given regarding the new start location Hamburg. Most surprisingly was the fact that the route Hamburg – Rotterdam is approx 557 km; which is 20 km longer then the original route from Paris. This week the first draft route will be online; curious to find out where this route will take us! More news will follow of course.

On top of this, we have been selected as one of the only 50 teams who will start in Hamburg, Germany this year! So, a new, exciting event will happen next year as of May 26 2012! Let’s go for own RoHaRun 2012!
